About the Award Program Since 2001, Silliker, Inc. has honored 10 processing plants and 10 distribution centers in North America with its distinguished Audit Platinum Award. The award is presented to companies that receive the highest scores in Silliker GMP/Food Safety System and Distribution Center audits. Silliker GMP/Food Safety and Distribution Center Audits combine a host of recognized industry practices and principles, as well as recommendations from the National Advisory Committee for Microbiological Criteria in Foods, USDA, and FDA, into comprehensive evaluation forms used by Silliker auditors. These comprehensive audit evaluations involve a systems review as well as a physical assessment of the facility in the implementation of food safety and quality systems procedures.
Silliker Salutes 2006 Platinum Award Recipients Celebrating 40 years of serving the food industry, Silliker—a leading industry provider of audits—conducted several thousand assessments across North America last year. Out of a possible 100 rating, this year's recipients scored above 95%, the minimum requirement for award consideration.
